Hello Everyone, Just a note to remind ppl that quitting smoking can & does bring on a state of mild depression as it did with me, although mine didn't last for too long i still think around 6 months or so is a long time.
Everyone has different feelings & ways of dealing with a mild state, I don't know many answers to this topic however,.. I do know what worked for me as I made some lifestyle changes after quitting smoking.
Humour, this helped me alot, I don't know where it came from but i had many laughs by being silly even at my ripe old age in my late 40's at the time. Laughter really does help.
Chin up, Look ahead. This practice helps too, No matter what state you feel you're in, Nothing last forever, Nothing is set in concrete & it doesn't have to be that way if you don't want it to.
Reading: Reading blogs such as Quitline blogs or a site like this, knowing that you're not alone, others have similar thoughts & feelings too, offering your own thoughts & idea's not only helps other ppl, but it helps yourself as one seeks answers to make the required changes or to handle situations, kind of like share pooling idea's & method's only to find you've been helping more than one person & getting a kick out of knowing someone says "Thank you" for your help.
I'd like to thank Admin Amy for starting a web blog site for those that want a little more than what Quitline is offering but on a similar pattern, I really think this will be a Good thing & help many ppl feel comfortable.
Feel free to check out some of my thoughts i blogged about on Quitline, just look up "Ady"
I have made changes, succeeded & right back up there where eagles soar feeling great (except for the weather, the winter-less north,.. they lied. Hahaha)
I really believe a site like this will help all those who participate... Go Hard.
Cheers Ady
